Green Wind Renewables is excited to share a major milestone in the development of the Grevillea Wind Farm – the successful installation of the meteorological mast (met mast).
This critical piece of infrastructure will now collect essential wind and weather data, helping to optimise energy production and ensure the efficient placement of turbines in the future.
What does the met mast do?
Standing 150 meters tall, the met mast is equipped with advanced instruments to measure: wind speed, wind direction, temperature, and air pressure.
These precise measurements will allow our team to accurately estimate energy output at Grevillea Wind Farm, determine the most suitable turbine model, and refine turbine placement for maximum efficiency.
The met mast will remain operational for the next 3–5 years, continuously gathering data to support the project’s success.
This installation marks a significant milestone in delivering the Grevillea Wind Farm, bringing us one step closer to generating clean, renewable energy for the region.
